Yellowstone National Park – limited edition prints

This image of Chinaman Spring is the latest addition to the Yellowstone National Park series. The interestingly varied sinter deposits along the edges of this thermal feature are determined by either the turbulent or calm nature of the bubbling, splashing, and rippling water. The most active and violent water seems to produce the jagged projections which take on softer shapes in the hinter waters. City Center Marriott – Raleigh, NC

Another fun hospitality project. This Marriott is located across from the newly built Convention Center and shares an underground connection tunnel for convenience. The bar photo is a actually a stitch of three exposures to give the equivalent of a wide-angle 20mm lens (on a 35m camera). All images photographed with Hasselblad 39mp digital back on the trusty old and insanely heavy Sinar P2 camera.

Hotel Terra – Jackson, WY

In December 2009 I made the latest trip to Jackson to photograph the eco-friendly Hotel Terra. Here is a collection of my favorite images for the Hotel Terra since 2008. The hotel is fantastic, centrally located, and very cool. If your plans take you to Jackson, I recommend booking herel!

Price Harrison Architect: Design

Through Price Harrison of Nashville, TN didn’t design the room or even the architecture that defines the space, he set the style for the place by specifying the Italian furniture by B&B Italia. Marriott Marquis, Times Square NYC

This image was used by Schindler Elevator Company for their 2009 annual report. If it were possible to stop all the elevators, we would have, but this was logistically impossible given the flow of people in the hotel. I therefore photographed each one in as many positions as possible (each at eight second exposures) and layered them into the final document.
